Making the Break

November 12, 2011

We've both turned in our letters of resignation, and the break is official! We finally feel as though the Spain adventure will become a reality.

To make things seem even more imminent, we were able to adjust our visa interview date from mid-December to mid-November. If everything goes according to plan, then, we'll have the visas by early January.

We're still hoping to leave by late January, but we'll have a better idea after the visa interview next week. Hoping that it will go smoothly!

On another note, I realize this blog is totally boring right now. I'm sure it'll get better, but don't get too excited...

The beginning!

It's October 11, and we're falling asleep on the couch watching a ghost show...so what more appropriate time than now to start our travel blog?

We're fewer than four weeks away from turning in our letters of resignation; about two-and-a-half months away from leaving our jobs; and (visa issues notwithstanding) three months and nine days away from departing for Madrid! If everything goes well (I'm sure my pessimism will be an annoying part of this blog), we'll be finding an apartment and getting set up during the tail-end of January, and we'll begin our TEFL training at the beginning of February.

We're debating whether or not to post this, so I'll just save this guy and publish later. I hope there will be more of these!
